Audible’s new feature lets you skip right to the most erotic part of romance novels

Clearly, Audible understands its romance reader demographic. The Amazon company just launched a new feature for some romance audiobooks that lets readers skip to the hot ‘n steamy part of the book (aka what they’re there for).

The tool, called “Take Me to the Good Part,” is part of the Romance Package, offering readers the chance to skip straight ahead to the scintillating trysts and the meet-cutes of the characters. Readers can choose from the categories of First Meetings, Flirty Banter, Sexual Tension, Proposal and Hot, Hot, Hot.

In an interview with NPR, romance novelist Alexis Daria says the tool could be useful. “If you can skip ahead and see if it’s going to be a satisfying book for you based on your preferences, it could be useful,” she said. Romance readers are an insatiable crowd — a 2014 stat noted that readers tend to read romance more than once a month.

If you’re in need of a ~frisky~ winter escape, the package can be yours for $14.95 per month or $6.95 per month for Audible and Kindle Unlimited members. But make no mistake, the romance genre isn’t just fluff. Entertainment Weekly recently wrote about how romance novelists are taking on Trump. Considering today makes it one year exactly since the election, it might be time to subscribe to that package…
