Former model, host, designer, forever ‘It’ girl, and now, voracious YouTuber Alexa Chung has teamed up with a label as Glastonbury-essential as a good pair of tall Hunter boots. That’s right, Alexa Chung has her own rainwear.
Collaborating with iconic British brand Barbour, Chung has designed her own take on the thigh-grazing, tartan-lined country jacket in a six-piece capsule. She claims to have been wearing Barbour for “as long as [she] can remember,” and thus it was apparently a natural choice to interpret an update on their styles.
“I was let loose into a room filled with every single Barbour piece through history,” Chung recalled to The Cut. “I was like a kid in a candy store rifling through all of these incredible pieces with such rich stories behind them.”
The multi-hyphenate also reiterated the intended versatility of the capsule—which is designed to take you from an outdoor market to the middle of the mosh.
“We designed pieces which are undoubtedly made for the great outdoors, there’s definitely some festival moments in there too but also outerwear which wouldn’t look out of place for a day of Saturday shopping in Notting Hill,” Chung explained.
Ranging in colors from Barbour’s trademark forest green to electric blue and burnt orange, there’s certainly something for everyone. Shop the styles at Bloomingdales, Nordstrom, or Alexa Chung’s own site.
