Aly Raisman Is Tackling Child Abuse Head On With Aerie

It’s been over a year since Olympic gymnast Aly Raisman testified against her abuser, former sports physician Larry Nassar, as the world watched. Now, she’s back campaigning for survivors, teaming up with Aerie to create a capsule of activewear to further raise awareness.

An #AerieReal Role Model, the athlete made sure to consider “strength, wellness and mindful living” when designing the collection, which consists of nine pieces including sports bras, tanks, and leggings. Every other product is  emblazoned with slogans encouraging you to live your best life, including “In the Moment” and “Unapologetically Me.”

The non-profit Raisman established to support sexual abuse survivors, Flip the Switch, will receive 15 percent of proceeds from the capsule’s sales. The organization was launched after Raisman’s attention was raised to the “lack of support and attention being devoted to the issue of sexual abuse within the sport of gymnastics, particularly at the grassroots level.”

Raisman’s contributions to the brand range from $20-35 dollars in price, which is more than a steal for excellent athleisure (with the added bonus of supporting a worthy cause).
