Ariana Grande brought people to literal tears as she sang “The Wizard and I” on NBC’s A Very Wicked Halloween show last night. This was Grande’s first performance since she and ex-fiancé Pete Davidson called off their hasty engagement. It looks like the situation hasn’t put a damper on Grande’s work, though. In fact, it seems like she’s back and better than ever, with an upcoming tour for her new album Sweetener on the horizon. And if last night’s performance was indicative of what’s to come from Grande, her fans are ready.
But Grande almost wasn’t. She wrote on her social media account, “can’t believe i almost let my anxiety ruin this for me today !!! not today satan ! not tomorrow or the next day either not no more u can suck my big green dick 💚 finna sing my heart out and be a big walking vessel of love bye.” Pete Davidson might have strong BDE, but apparently so does Grande.
People on Twitter praised Grande for overcoming her own personal obstacles and delivering an exceptional performance.
Ariana has a beautiful voice. I also had goosebumps. I pray she can overcome the recent difficulties and sing with the obvious joy in her voice.
