Serena Williams is holding it down for all of the “badass” ladies out there. Aside from killing it at tennis, being a standup mother and wife, and running a fashion line, Williams is just a badass in general. That’s why she is the first person to grace the cover of InStyle’s “Badass Women” issue.
And boy, did she really grace the cover. Williams stole the show in a dress by The Row topped off with an Eric Javits hat. Other standout looks featured in the shoot were a flowing Dolce & Gabbana coverup.
The female empowered issue was conceptualized by editor in chief Laura Brown, who also interviewed Williams for the August issue’s cover story. In it, Williams and Brown discuss the heavy hitting issues: the Olympics, Beyoncé, and being a working mother.
