Meet Streetwear Barbie, Who Wears Camo And Sweatpants

Barbie, at the age of 60, has become a hypebeast. On the heels of the brand’s recent capsule with Puma, the second collaboration between Barbie x BAPE is coming your way.

It was last October that Barbie collaborated with A Bathing Ape for the label’s 25th anniversary. Three miniature Barbies were released wearing versions of classic pieces, including sweatshirts with the brand’s mascot Milo, their camo shark hoodies, and BAPE STA sneakers. Now, Barbie x BAPE will be releasing a tote bag that will be paired with one of three dolls whose fashion packs will include a hoodie, T-shirt, and pair of kicks.

The collaboration will also include human-sized sweatshirts, jackets, pants, and more fusing the Barbie cursive logo with BAPE imagery. One sweatshirt features graphic novel-style images of Barbie alongside text reading “unstoppable.” A pink fleece jacket (that I’m personally very into) and a velvet bomber both have the Barbie logo inscribed on the left jacket panel.

You can shop the collection, which is available for purchase starting Saturday, April 6, here.
