Years & Years debuts a new song in the film ‘The Secret Life of Flowers’

There might be no better-suited person than Baz Luhrmann to take the intense and exquisite florals of Erdem and make them even dreamier. In anticipation of Erdem’s collaboration with H&M, Luhrmann’s four-minute film The Secret Life of Flowers featured the capsule collection set alongside wall-to-wall blossoming flowers and an English countryside manor.

The film, The Secret Life of Flowers, is a love story between two very beautiful, extremely well-coiffed individuals featuring Luhrmann’s signature blend of tragedy with romance. Imaan Hammam, Grace Hartzel, and Saskia de Brauw all make cameo appearances. Years&Years, an electronic act from England, debuted their new song “Hypnotized” in the film.

“I wanted the film to be like a whole movie. It’s a very modern love story, set in a country house that is full of its own secrets and it’s like a metaphor for our times,” Luhrmann said in a statement. “It’s harsh out there in the world, but in here, the things that really matter keep growing in an eternal spring,” the Australian director continued.

The H&M x Erdem collection is available online and in-stores November 2, and we’re ready to spend the winter luxuriating next to a fire and waiting for our lover in the collection’s printed pajamas, tea dresses, and floral brocade coats. Check out the very darkly elegant, very Baz Luhrmann film here.
