Finding the right pair of jeans is like finding a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow—rare. There are so many things that factor into finding something that is both comfortable, the right price and cute on the butt.
If you’re like me, you’ve worn about every single cut of jean before finally deciding, in 2020, that straight leg jeans are the best fit. Since most of you aren’t like me, let’s break down finding jeans into some easy steps.
Fit: when buying a new pair of jeans, you want to make sure they fit right. A lot of people don’t like wearing jeans with a belt so you want to make sure that you have a tiny bit of extra room in case you have a huge meal or go dancing. There’s nothing worse than having to unbutton your jeans at the club or at the dinner table.
Style: know your style. There’s about a million types of jeans out there so decide what kind is the right for you. Are you a skinny jeans gal or someone who loves pants so oversized that you could be wearing 10 inch heels and no one would know? When considering a new pair of jeans, it’s important to try on every type of style that catches your eye, even when they aren’t your first choice, because you never know when that pair of pants could spark a movement for your wardrobe.
Color: what kind of wash are you going for? Are you going for a vintage feel or a jean so pristine it looks like they’ve never even been touched before? Like other things in the typical wardrobe, jeans come in LITERALLY every color so the world is your oyster. And by the way, it’s totally okay to wear white jeans after Labor Day. That’s a silly rule anyways.
