If you don’t already know Clinton Hill, you should. The historic neighborhood sits between Fort Greene, Bed Stuy and the Brooklyn Navy Yard. The brownstone-lined streets and collegiate crew from nearby Pratt give us all kinds of friendly neighborhood vibes. With its proximity to so many bustling areas, Clinton Hill is a mashup of cultures in the best way possible.

“It’s my family’s secret weekend escape from where we live in Carroll Gardens; Majestic mansions built in the late 19th century, elegant carriage houses, and ancient row houses with hidden shopping and eating treasures.” – Kelly Gallozzi VP, Brand Strategy and Partnerships.

Keep reading for our roundup of the best spots in the neighborhood.

Hidden among the tree-lined streets are a handful of our favorite spots to eat out. Meckleburg’s is a super-chic bodega-meets-sandwich shop-meets casual dining. It sits tucked away on Greene Ave, only visible by its red awning and signature ‘M’. Just a stone’s throw away is Locanda Vini e Olli, where you’re guaranteed delicious Tuscan fare set in what used to be an authentic 50s drugstore. If you’re looking to step up the ambiance but still keep a laidback mood, you’ll find classic American cooking just down the block at Sister’s. Pro-tip: their weekend brunch is bomb.
