Cardi B has cancelled her fall tour with “Finesse” collaborator Bruno Mars. Cardi announced the news to her 29 million followers on Instagram on Thursday evening.
“As of today, I’ve decided I won’t be joining Bruno [Mars] on tour this Fall. I thought that after giving birth to my daughter that 6 weeks would be enough time for me to recover mentally and physically,” she wrote to her fans. “I also thought that I’d be able to bring [Kulture] with me on tour, but I think I underestimated this whole mommy thing.”
Cardi broke down the reasons why she wasn’t ready, to which her fans were understanding in the comment section.
“Being a mommy is hard work, and post partum recovery definitely takes a lot of time and effort as well. I’m glad you have decided to focus your energy towards this and putting your health first,” as one fan put it.
“I’m sure all the fans will understand – at the end of the day nothing good can come if you don’t prioritize your mind body and soul first!”
Cardi B and husband Offset of Migos gave birth to their daughter Kulture Kiari Cephus less than a month ago on July 10.
