Digital Sales Director

Based in NYC

We are seeking a focused, tenacious and creative Digital Ad Sales person to join the COOLS team. COOLS has enjoyed a fast-pace of growth, and this role will manage existing partner accounts as well as develop new sales channels to take the COOLS Ad Sales business to the next level. Primary Responsibilities:

Generate and increase revenue through sales content placements on site and email, advertising, and branded content offerings.

Proactively build and maintain a pipeline of sales targets, contacts, and sales opportunities.

Initiate, grow & maintain new & existing client and agency relationships.

Sell inventory across COOLS website and email channels, including branded content solutions and custom integrations.

Respond to RFPs, collaborate with marketing and production on custom content solutions.

Build deeper relationships and awareness at both agencies and direct partner level.

Partner with Media Agencies to drive advertising revenue.

Ensure clear expectations and alignment with COOLS business and marketing teams for successful execution of sales and cross marketing objectives.  

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

Candidates should have at least five years’ experience as a Digital Ad Sales Manager, ideally within fashion or beauty, and have established relationships with great industry brands, retailers and designers. Here’s what you need . . .

5+ years of experience in digital online premium publisher sales within fashion and/or beauty categories.

Experience selling branded content including custom content, videos and social.

A deep understanding of traditional digital products including standard IAB ad units and email as well as selling cross device.

Proven experience closing significant and complex deals with advertisers and key agency stakeholders.

Ability to establish and nurture high level client relationships.

Great relationship builder with skills in sales prospecting and closing.

Ability to navigate internal relationships and work in partnership with other sellers.

Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

Confident with articulate presentation skills.

Creative thinker.

Self-starter who thrives in a start-up environment.
