In a recent conversation with a friend, I described myself as a metaphorical m&m. That is, hard exterior shell but my insides are chocolatey smooth and laden with lots of sweetness. Unless I swipe myself an insta-boyfriend or somehow strike gold in a dark corner of Union Pool, which given the current attachment to my couch are both highly unlikely, I will be spending Valentine’s day with just me, myself and I. Am i bitter? Maybe. Finding myself at this crossroads of wanting love and jealously hating those who already have it, I know that I am definitely not the only m&m out there.
