Hailey Baldwin Responds to Justin Bieber Advice From Uncle Alec Baldwin

New York Fashion Week has seen its fair share of dramatic moments with Cardi B and Nicki Minaj’s most recent shoe-throwing feud. Hailey Baldwin, on the other hand, is focusing her energy on more positive endeavors: no—not the Hillsong Church, but her relationship with fiancé Justin Bieber, of course.

Baldwin told Women’s Wear Daily at Wes Gordon’s show for Carolina Herrera on Monday morning, “I’ve tried to be really choosy with fashion week going forward,” referring to all of the runway shows she walked in last fashion week compared to this season. She continued, saying, “just because I want to have the time to spend being relaxed and being with family — and my fiancé,” Justin.

Hailey’s uncle and actor Alec Baldwin was in Canada over the weekend for the Toronto Film Festival when eTalk asked him his thoughts on Bieber and Baldwin’s relationship. He thought that the young couple should maximize their one-on-one time, given the fact that they had only been consistently dating for a short time before getting engaged in July.

“People who get married young — and they are very young — I want them to just spend time with each other,” he said.

WWD asked Baldwin, who wore a bubblegum pink suit, what she thought of her uncle’s opinions at the Herrera show. She said, “I hadn’t heard this yet, so you’re actually the first telling me. But that sounds like very sound, solid advice. He’s just trying to look out for me.”

Also at the Herrera show was Martha Stewart. Stewart was busily tending to her phone, when she told a reporter that she’s currently working on season 3 of VH1’s “Martha & Snoop’s Potluck Dinner”.

“I know Nicki Minaj wants to come on the show, so she’ll be a barrel of fun,” Stewart said. “I’m sure we’ll get her to fight with us,” she joked, referring to her brawl with Cardi B at the Harper’s Bazaar “Icons” party.

Martha also said she loves working with Snoop and that it’s “non-stop giggles.” Since working with Snoop, Martha has also become a big fan of rap. “I’ve always liked the genre, and to meet the professionals who create all that poetry is quite fun,” she said. “I listen to it. I just try to hear what they’re saying, because they’re saying a lot — a lot more than most musicians these days.”
