Heathers is back. The 1988 deliciously dark black comedy has been turned into a TV series with a new — but equally vicious — crew of Heathers, and the first trailer is here.

The new Heathers are updated for the “woke” age, with the formerly white, preppy group of Heathers now a diverse crew of high schoolers more than aware of body positivity, gender, and race issues. Heather Chandler, played by Melanie Field, struts menacingly down the high school hallway wearing pink fur, a t-shirt with a gold-drenched grimacing mouth, and multiple chokers.

There will apparently also be cameos from Selma Blair, Casey Wilson and original Heathers cast member Shannen Doherty. If the trailer’s any indication, there will be more than plenty of dark, fun high school drama, Heather Chandler’s famous poisoning scene, and, of course, “Fuck me gently with a chainsaw.”

The show will premiere on the Paramount Network on March 7th.
