How To Style Sweats For Those Days When You Just Can’t

The phrase “stylish sweatpants” may sound like an oxymoron, but it’s a real thing and the look is totally attainable.

As a New Yorker, I’m constantly looking for hacks that’ll somehow transform my mix-matched outfits into a fashionable, yet secretly comfortable wardrobe. During one of my late-night Google searches, I found that sweatpants can be dressed up or down—whether I’m headed to the office or hanging out with my girlfriends. Here’s what I learned.

Fitted sweatpants can make a world of difference.

Baggy sweats may be comfy, but they’re not exactly chic. Fitted sweats, however, are easy to style and feel just as cozy.

Pair your sweats with a blazer.

Instead of grabbing your favorite sweatshirt and running out the door, try pairing your sweats with a trendy coat or a blazer. A leather jacket or casual denim jacket will give your look a more dressed up feel.
