I’m not going to lie, reading “Khloé Kardashian” and “killer sisters” in the same sentence is very exciting to me. If it’s exciting to you, too, we’re in luck. It was announced today that Kardashian will be the executive producer of a new, original series Twisted Sisters for Investigation Discovery.
It will be a six-episode series described by ID as a look “inside the most outrageous and provocative crimes ever committed by the unlikeliest of pairs – sisters.” (Happy Siblings Day!) We’ll have to wait till 2019 to catch Twisted Sisters, produced by 44 Blue Productions. “I am so excited to be bringing you Twisted Sisters,” said Kardashian. “As a self-proclaimed ‘true-crime addict’ there is no better way to tell these tales about the bonds that sisters possess and how they can go so terribly wrong.”
One wonders about the psychology behind Kardashian, part of a very famous gaggle of sisters, wanting to delve into the heinous crimes committed by sisters, but TBH that piques my interest even more. (And, hey, we’ve all gotten into almost-murderous fights with our sisters.) Each episode will be an hour long and will take a look at these siblings-committed crimes — cases that, in some instances, also had sisters turn against each other. ID says that episodes will feature interviews with family members, close friends of the murderers, and investigators who worked on the cases.
Kardashian’s true crime obsession is well-documented, once telling Billboard that her dream job would be a forensic investigator. “All I watch is murder investigation shows, Forensic Files, shows like that,” she said. “I seriously, when things slow down a little bit, I’m considering really doing that.”
Now it’s time to speculate on the juicy part — which famous sister cases will be explored? Could it be the bizarre yoga twin murder case? The 1933 case of Christine and Léa Papin, two sisters and live-in maids who murdered their employer’s wife and daughter? Linda and Charlotte Mulhall, who killed and dismembered their mother’s boyfriend? The possibilities are endless.
