Shot by Steven Meisel, the campaign features models posing in front of KAWS’ — real name Brian Donnelly — BFF character, reimagined in a suit to channel Christian Dior.
“I wanted the advertising to reflect the spirit of the men’s summer show and the beauty of Dior,” Jones told WWD. “I’ve always wanted to work with Kaws, I think he’s super chic and also his work speaks to a lot of people.”
Denmark’s Prince Nikolai appeared in the campaign dressed in a pale-blue-and-white suit he also modeled on the runway. The new ads represent Jones’ streetwear take on the luxury of Dior, blending couture with streamlined functionality in his signature style.
The full campaign with a video directed by Jackie Nickerson will debut on October 31.
