Friends Don’t Discount Makeup Collaborations With Friends

One of the first signs the public took as evidence that the Jordyn Woods-Tristan Thomspon-Khloe Kardashian cheating scandal was real (i.e. not just fabricated by Kris Jenner to secure ratings) was the fact that just one day after the news broke, the model’s lip kit collaboration with best friend Kylie Jenner appeared to be marked half off.

The move sent a clear message, and was immediately interpreted as an obvious — and impressively petty — ousting of Woods from the KarJenner inner circle. Perhaps in solidarity with the model or general appreciation for the colorways, the newly $13.50-priced products (formerly $27) sold out within the following week. But, as it turns out, the entire debacle was all just an unfortunate coincidence, says Kylie Jenner, who took the time to clear up rumors in the New York Times

Apparently, Jenner was unaware of the sale, and contacted an employee soon thereafter to get to the bottom of it. The decision had been put into motion several weeks prior, as the packaging on the Jenner-Woods offering were a result of the Kylie Cosmetics packaging color scheme changing from black to white. Jenner told the publication she was “thrown back,” after seeing tweets alluding to the fact the price-drop was Jenner exacting her revenge on her former best friend.

“That is just not my character. I would never do something like that and when I saw it, I was like, thrown back,” Kylie told the Times. “Jordyn knows I didn’t actually put it on sale.”

There you have it! No shade here, folks. Also, Jenner changed her Twitter header to a picture of her and Woods from the collection’s promotional shoot, so that’s that on that.
