Lana Del Rey previewed another song off of her upcoming album Norman Fucking Rockwell on Instagram today. Del Rey gave fans a glimpse into “Sylvia Plath,” named after the famous poet and writer. LDR sings about “debutantes smiling for miles in pink dresses” in the short clip. From what we can tell, Del Rey’s hair is styled in a short brown bob à la Plath.
Del Rey has previously released previews of her songs “Cinnamon” and “Venice Bitch” off of the same album, which is being co-produced with Jack Antonoff.
LDR told Zane Lowe of Beats I Radio in September, “Working with Jack [Antonoff], I was in a little bit of a lighter mood because he was so funny,” Lana said. “So the title track is called ‘Norman Fucking Rockwell’ and it’s kind of about this guy who is such a genius artist but he thinks he’s the shit and he knows it and he like won’t shut up talking about it.”
Lana Del Rey hasn’t confirmed the exact release date of Norman Fucking Rockwell yet, but it is due out sometime in 2019.
