It’s easy being green, especially for the Queen. Queen Elizabeth II wore a lime green suit and matching hat for her first day of royal duties with Meghan Markle, Duchess of Sussex. The two were greeted by crowds of excited Englanders when they arrived at the train station at Runcorn. They are there to open a new toll bridge, which is also good public service experience for the Duchess.
Her highness wore a custom Givenchy Haute Couture ensemble for her first official day out with the Queen. The sleek white cape dress and black leather belt was designed by Clare Waight Keller, the current creative director at Givenchy. She accessorized the outfit with simple Sarah Flint heels and a Givenchy bag.

While people may be gushing over Markle’s custom cape dress, we can’t help but fixate on the Queen’s neon green number. It is truly a sight for sore eyes. It also makes lime popsicles sound extremely appealing.
Beyond the desire for icy treats that this outfit conjures, it’s just, like, kind of amazing? The Kermit green hue makes the Queen look like she’s literally superimposed into every picture of her. Is she real or hologram? We can’t tell and it’s simply incredible.
