One day it’s sweltering hot and all you want to wear is a pair of leg-baring shorts, and the next day it’s so chilly you’re contemplating taking out last season’s sweaters. We might find days when we need layers in the summer, but none of us are really keen on breaking out that winter wardrobe. Trust me when I tell you, this moody weather confusing for everyone! But over the years I’ve learned a few tricks and bought a couple of pieces that have become staples for me during in-between weather.
This is how I’ve learned to dress for moody weather.
I love dusters because they’re so incredibly light and pretty, they make any outfit look a lot more dressed up than it usually would, and if you get too hot it’s light enough to drape off your shoulders or wrap up in your handbag.
Slip dresses are a great piece to wear in transition weather because a lot of times it’s warm during the day and then colder at night and you need something simple enough to layer that looks chic. Wear them with sneakers during the day, and change into heels at night with some nice earrings and you’re good to go.
Suits aren’t the first thing that come to mind to wear in the summertime, but in the right materials like light linens and cottons, it’s the perfect outfit since you can set the tone depending on the occasion. Wear a pastel suit with a t-shirt and loafers, or a neutral tone suit with standout white accessories.
