Sometimes, no matter how far you travel, your hometown ends up inspiring you most — particularly if your hometown happens to be Naples. CHANEL’s global creative make-up and color designer, Lucia Pica, spent her childhood in Naples, and it’s now the main influence behind the brand’s spring/summer 2018 collection.

i-D reports that the “dusty pink of blushers are lifted from the pink sunsets that fall over the mountains at dusk, bluey-gold eyeshadows reference the sun’s glint on the gulf that hems the city in, and eyeliners are inspired by the bright jade green that flecks through the city.”
