Nicki Minaj Announces a Radio Show Ahead of Her New Album

Leading up to her new album Queen, dropping August 17, Nicki Minaj announced on Twitter that she’s bringing a show called Queen Radio to Apple’s Beats 1. “The new dynasty begins,” she tweeted Wednesday. “AND I might have something special for you too,” confirming the show will air at 10 p.m. ET on Thursday.

To celebrate the launch of Queen Radio, Minaj will be holding a live Q&A with her fanbase during the show.  The top fan comments will be rewarded with gifts such as tour tickets, signed albums, and more. Just after announcing the radio show, the rapper also teased a 10-second clip of an unreleased track. “Testing out some new speakers in my guest house studio, who’s coming over? Who’s tuning into #QueenRadio @applemusic tmrw night? Let’s just say you won’t wanna miss it. History making tingz ah gwarn,” she wrote.

Her new album Queen will be a follow-up to her 2014 album The Pinkprint, and it will feature singles “Chun Li” and “Bed” with Ariana Grande. Queen’s release date was pushed back a week when complications came up with clearing a Tracy Chapman sample. Nicki Minaj will head out on tour in September with Future and 6ix9ine.
