Last night was a big one for Nicki Minaj.

The female rapper arrived at the Met Gala dressed in a red Oscar de la Renta gown that gave us major “Bloody Mary” vibes. The gown was right on-theme for the Met’s “Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination” ball and exhibit.

And Minaj didn’t waste any time before announcing her forthcoming album “Queen,” which is set to drop June 15.

“It’s a big night for me because I just let the world know that my album is coming June 15 and it’s called Queen, and I can’t wait,” she told Billboard.

Since she released her new singles “Chun-Li” and “Barbie Tingz,” the rumor mill has been actively speculating the drop of her new album. Fans can finally rejoice for the upcoming album which is sure to be filled with a number of summer bangers and bops.

Fans of Nicki Minaj were also curious about how, or if, she would address the rumored beef with the very-pregnant Cardi B. Since Cardi’s song “Bodak Yellow” topped charts last fall, people have drawn comparisons between the Bronx-native and Minaj. Both artists have squashed those rumors in the past.

“It’s so annoying. I feel like people wouldn’t even be satisfied even if me and [Nicki Minaj] was making out,” Cardi told Complex last year. “I feel like people just want that drama because it’s just entertaining.”

Nicki took to Twitter around the same time last year to clear up the rumors, stating, “These are men in our culture who simply refuse to let it go. They don’t do this to male M.C.’s. But yo #Motorsport #1 added on urban radio—-.”

On the surface, the two got along quite well inside of the Met Ball last night. But that didn’t stop Nicki from stirring the pot when she spoke to E! News on the red carpet.

“You know what, because I’m the bad guy, and I wanted to make sure that the bad guy was here,” Minaj said with a cheeky twinkle in her eye.
