Nicki Minaj Thinks She Was Robbed by Travis Scott; VMA’s Might Get Weird

Things could be weird tonight at the VMA’s. On Sunday, Nicki Minaj made her feelings known when Travis Scott’s new album Astroworld nabbed #1 on the Billboard Chart this week. Minaj recently released her long-awaited album Queen, to much fanfare, which she is not letting Travis Scott or Kylie Jenner forget.

Nicki attributes the success of Travis Scott’s new album to Kylie Jenner’s strong social media presence. At 113 million Instagram followers alone, Jenner could probably start her own country. According to Minaj, “Travis sold over 50K of [tour passes]” with the help of Jenner’s social media post, which he apparently admitted.

“I spoke to him. He knows he doesn’t have the #1 album this week,” Minaj wrote on Twitter.

Minaj followed up the insult by throwing a heavy dose of shade at Travis and Kylie’s daughter Stormi.

“I put my blood sweat & tears in writing a dope album only for Travis Scott to have Kylie Jenner post a tour pass telling [people] to come see her & Stormi,” she tweeted. “lol. I’m actually laughing.”

On Monday, TMZ noted that photos of Radio City Music Hall in NYC, where the VMA’s will take place this evening, have started to surface. The seating chart currently has Kylie and Travis seated directly behind Nicki. Who knows if the chart will be rearranged, but either way, this should be interesting.

Nicki also took to Instagram to make sure people knew her album was selling out. “3rd Target I’ve been to! @NickiMinaj sold out everywhere,” a fan wrote on a video she reposted.

And even if Nicki does get “robbed” tonight at the VMA’s, she isn’t too pressed about the outcome. Ahead of the VMA’s, she took to Instagram to show off a new set of photos from a shoot with Vogue Arabia. We have to bow down to the Queen and give her credit where it’s due—Minaj is looking undeniably regal in all of the shots.
