An Obama-produced Netflix series could soon be coming to a screen near you. Particularly in our current ultra-depressing political climate, this couldn’t be better news.

The New York Times reported that the former President is in advanced negotiations with Netflix to produce a series of high-profile shows that will provide him a global platform after his departure from the White House, sources say. The terms of the proposal are not yet final, but Netflix would potentially pay Barack and Michelle Obama for exclusive content available on the streaming service only.

The details of show format or number of episodes haven’t been determined yet. This could give Obama a direct way of communicating with an audience he already reaches through social media, with 101 million Twitter followers and 55 million Facebook page likes. People familiar with the Netflix discussions say that the Obamas don’t intend to use the platform to directly address Trump or critics, but would likely instead gear their programming towards inspiring stories.

Particularly with the CNN town halls, this could be another forum to discuss health care, immigration, gun control, and more. Your Netflix binge just got a little more exciting — and a lot more informative.
