To be completely honest, I’m not going away until after the weekend and I never really pack in advance. But with that said, I’m very excited for my mini holiday week vacation to Montreal so for once in my life I’m going to prep things.
This means I’m rolling out my suitcase and trying to narrow down my wardrobe to the few pieces I know I can use to make quick outfits for walking around, fancy dinners and even a pool day.
The luggage:
I have two Away bags, both carry-on sizes. Once I started using the brand I pretty much got rid of everything else (recycled of course!). I tend to overpack but this bag really allows for that. I can really stuff things in and no matter what I try to do, the bag stays in the same shape.
The clothing:
Apparently, I have a summer plaid problem? As I was looking for what to pack both a plaid Ganni top and a plaid Farrow dress fit the bill. When it comes to sunglasses, I could easily overdo it but right now I’m finding that my small Warby Parker sunnies and cat eye Krewe glasses are working with everything.
For shoes, I’ll bring a ton of Doc Marten boots because I wear them with everything. But for the dressier moments (it’s my anniversary and my husband and I have a nice dinner planned), I’m bringing these colorful Frances Valentine block heels.
The accessories:
When it comes to accessories, I feel like a gold hoop can go well with any look so they’re perfect for packing. I also want to bring a few fun pairs like this mismatched one from SVNR just in case.
The beauty:
It’s going to 85-degrees so I’m keeping my beauty routine light. Outside of my face wash and sunscreen, I’m going with a few essentials. My Benefit brow brush, a travel size Deva Curl styling cream, Glossier Haloscope, Chanel Noir mascara, and a lash curler.
