The Beauty Routine Of Australia’s Favorite Athleisure Designer

Very few moments in the day are as bare as the moment you wake up. We each have our own kinks and quirks that help us get out of bed, but few of us are brave enough to share them with the world. Introducing A Cool Morning, a deep dive into the intimate daytime rituals of our coolest friends and beauty innovators.

Pip Edwards is undeniably one of Australia’s best exports. On top of being one of the most fit fashion designers from the Gold Coast, she’s also established herself as an activewear maven via her popular brand P.E. Nation. Basically, Edwards is a proponent of athleisure not just being a fad—it’s something that’s here to stay for a very long time.

Though Edwards is a namesake in the fashion sphere, what we really want to know is how she keeps that Aussie glow in tact. Below, we take a deep dive into her morning routine—be prepared to take notes.

What’s the first thing you do every morning?
I wake up at 6 a.m. and I have two boiled eggs with Tabasco, drop my son to school, and go to pilates.

Do you have a morning workout routine?
I do pilates three days a week in the morningnon-negotiableand on the other days of the week I go for a walk.

Shower at-night, morning, or both?
I shower at night because it allows me personal time to think, relax, and wind down from the busy day.

Daily alarm time? How many times do you hit snooze?
My alarm is set daily for 6 a.m., and I never, ever hit snooze or I won’t get up!

If you’re running late, what’s the one thing you have to do?
Drive faster, play fast music, and always make sure to call ahead.

Favorite breakfast?
Two boiled eggs, or smashed avocado on toast with chili.

Weirdest morning beauty habit?
I layer rosehip oil and the Kora Organics Noni Glow Face Oil all over my face. Once the oil has soaked in, I layer on the Estée Lauder Advanced Night Repair Serum.

What does your morning hair-care routine look like?
My morning hair is pretty much whatever I wake up with. I use Bondi Boost Elixir Hair Oil and Bondi Boost Intensive Growth Spray, purely because my hair has sun damage and is dyed a lot, and these products help bring it back to life.

How much time do you spend on your skincare routine?
I probably spend 10 minutes in the morning, and a little longer at night. I am massively into using face masks, and I swear by the Estée Lauder Powerfoil Face Mask to replenish.

How long do you usually take to get ready for the day?
It usually takes me 15 minutes to get ready.

What’s the one product you could never leave the house without putting on?

The first word/thing that popped into your head this morning?
Summer.

Your favorite morning read?
I usually do a quick Instagram scroll in the morning as I get ready for the day.

What’s on your nightstand right now?
Two booksThe Courage to be Disliked and Riding Strong—a rose quartz crystal, lavender night spray, and my animal card.

What’s the current ringtone on your alarm?
The most aggressive, scary alarm possibleit is not peaceful!

Coffee, tea, or go-to morning drink?
My go-to morning drinks is an espresso shot with hot chocolate powder, a dash of honey, and lion’s mane mushroom.

What’s the last thing you did before you headed out the door today?
I put sunscreen on and did a final check in the mirror.
