What is it about Rihanna and instantly iconic moments? From her wine glass phase to rolling a joint on her bodyguard’s head, she has a knack for making off-the-cuff history. And so far, at an already historic Coachella (or Beychella, as it’s now commonly known), Rihanna started what’s bound to be the trend of the summer: the bracelet flask.
Rihanna out Rihanna-ed herself with this one. The bangle bracelet flask is a truly brilliant invention, and it’s affordable for non-celebs such as ourselves. On Amazon, it sells anywhere from $14.99 to $26.99.
In the singer’s Instagram post, you can’t even tell she’s wearing a flask, which I studied carefully considering I’m about to sneak this bracelet flask into every event I go to this summer. Though Rihanna would, of course, be the number one salesperson for this (these companies must be thanking their lucky stars right now), the Amazon reviews and description do a pretty good job, too. The description says it will make you the “coolest person in the pub, party, and music festival” (noted) and advertises the fact that it “glistens in sunlight”. And the top review says simply, “My wife is so drunk”.
It can hold about 3.5 ounces of liquid, which is enough to get you through a solid few drinks. This isn’t the first time RiRi’s made alcohol an accessory. At last February’s Grammys, she was spotted with a bedazzled hip flask, apparently at one point mouthing to her neighbor, “I think it’s time for another shot.”
And to top it all off, Rihanna’s Coachella ‘fits have been brilliant. She’s worn a Gucci balaclava and a custom Chrome Hearts ensemble, as well as Fenty’s pink one-piece swimsuit with “Drowning” emblazoned on the front to host a daytime pool party. Rihanna may not be performing at Coachella, but she basically might as well be.
