Pregnant models have been popping up all over the New York fashion scene, certainly not starting or ending with Rihanna’s Fenty X Savage New York Fashion Week show. Fenty model Slick Woods was, however, perhaps the most pregnant of pregnant models to have ever walked in a fashion show. Why? Because, according to a new report by TMZ, she allegedly went into labor as she walked off the runway to go backstage.
If the reports are true, Woods gave birth to Saphir last night. The father Adonis Bosso, better known as @SeptumPapi on Instagram, confirmed the name a few weeks ago. Bosso is also a model who’s worked with Ports 1961 and Dolce & Gabbana. Woods, 22, has been featured in a number of campaigns for Rihanna’s different brands, including Fenty Beauty.
Rihanna is a strong advocate for body diversity, and her casting choices reflect that. Slick Woods was one of two pregnant models in Rihanna’s show, alongside more familiar names like Bella and Gigi Hadid. And Ri wasn’t shy about the styling of the pregnant women in her show. Woods wore black pasties and a lace bodysuit featuring X-rated cut-outs.
