Selena Gomez just became our new favorite Horror Queen, all thanks to her friend and collaborator Petra Collins’ new short film A Love Story.
The short is set to debut on IGTV, Instagram’s new long-form video platform. The date has yet to be released, but Collins posted images from the film overnight — and they’re delightfully creepy. One clip features Gomez gargling an eyeball and eating icing off her legs with a butcher’s knife. Another image depicts a very scary, Medusa-esque hand mask.
The film was written by Melissa Broder, the person behind @SoSadToday and new book The Pisces. Collins and Gomez worked together on Gomez’s video for “Fetish” last year, and Collins had expressed her interest to Vanity Fair about making a horror film with the actress/singer.
“I love The Exorcist and the things that come from inside you,” Collins told Vanity Fair last May. “The things that are a little more subtle, and things that you deal with from inwards, and I feel like it’s something Selena and I both love talking about…that topic is sort of dear to us.”
