Selena Gomez is definitively back in action. She’s been making red carpet appearances in pastel eyeshadow, posting sultry selfies on Instagram and now, she’s teamed up with a long-time pal to create a line of swimwear that’s actually, well, very good.
In 2017, Gomez very publicly underwent a kidney transplant as a result of her lupus. She shared post-op images of the gnarly scar with her 100 million-plus Instagram followers, at the time and was later photographed on a Sydney yacht in a string bikini scars-and-all.
In collaboration with friend and former assistant Theresa Mingus, Selena designed a series of flatteringly high-waisted bikinis — featuring with belts and half-cups — in black and red rib for new swim brand, Krahs. The pair sat down to recount the origins of their friendship and discuss the partnership, with Selena querying how the pair’s relationship impacted Mingus’s personal and professional growth.
With the warmer months ever-approaching, it’s the perfect time to invest in new swimwear — who knows, this might just be the suit for you.
