Not all heroes wear capes—Serena Williams is a real life “superhero” holding it down for all of the moms out there, as she showed fans yesterday at the French Open when she won her first match as a mom at Grand Slam tournament since taking time off from the game in January.

Besides gallivanting at the Royal Wedding with husband and Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian and their daughter Olympia, Williams hasn’t been active on the court since she withdrew from the Australia Open to focus on rebuilding her health.

“My coach and team always said ‘only go to tournaments when you are prepared to go all the way’. I can compete – but I don’t want to just compete, I want to do far better than that and to do so, I will need a little more time,” she announced on social media January to the surprise of many fans.

“With that being said, and even though I am disappointed about it, I’ve decided not to compete in the Australian Open this year.”

Williams is a go-getter, and her triumphant return to the court proved that fact. The tennis champion-turned-mother not only won her first match back in the game, but she did it in true style. Williams wore a gleaming athletic outfit by Nike that she and Ohanian referred to as her “catsuit.”

“Catsuit anyone? For all the moms out there who had a tough recovery from pregnancy — here you go. If I can do it, so can you. Love you all!,” Williams wrote to her 10.9 million followers on Twitter. Hubby Ohanian showed love for his wife’s catsuit online too, saying, “Supermama is back. Second time is even better. Is that Vibranium? #RG18 #catsuit.”

Williams, who just launched a new fashion brand inspired by her daughter, was sure to point out that the outfit wasn’t just to show off her athletic curves–the compression suit was meant to help her with blood clotting issues.

“It’s a fun suit,” she said to reporters at the Open, “but it’s also functional. … I had a lot of problems with my blood clots. I don’t know how many I have had in the past 12 months.”

Talk about a winner.
