Don't use a nylon brush, as the bristles may be too abrasive for the delicate felt of the hat. For a light-colored hat, use a brush with light bristles, and for darker hats, use darker bristles, and brush it gently counter-clockwise with small motions. Regular brushing will prolong hat life. Dust the hat with a damp cloth, but make sure it isn't too wet. To remove fuzz and hair, wipe the hat gently with a piece of sticky tape.
