GAP just got A LOT more relevant. The company announced yesterday that SZA and Metro Boomin will be part of GAP’s 50th anniversary “Logo Remix” campaign. The campaign will remix Gap logos from the past decades, and SZA, for one, is stoked.

“Definitely don’t even know how I low-key got gifted the opportunity to be involved with them, just because they’re super iconic and only have worked with iconic people,” SZA told Mic.

“It ended up being something really beautiful and really cool and really nostalgic and positive. It’s Gap! It’s weird. It’s like, anything is possible. I wondered if Stevie Nicks was going to just pop out of nowhere. Gap is like the fashion Disney. It’s like Got Milk in that it’s mysteriously always messaging the cool stuff.”

SZA hit the nail on the head. The Gap’s always had a mysterious way of being removed from trends yet having their finger on the pop culture pulse. Cher and Future recently performed a truly iconic duet, and  SZA and Metro Boomin are the latest in a long line of famous musicians from Madonna to Missy Elliot.
