It was a warm Monday in July when I found love. Vivienne Westwood, known among her legions of disciples as “good sis Viv,” has lent her vision once again to oft-overlooked athletic wear label Asics. And boy, are we sold. 


The new GEL-saga sneaker is the shared dream of any fashionista, footwear fanatic or hypebeast. It features a cleanly classic leather upper with the British designer’s trademark orb on the heel and chaos branding, and stars one of the most beautiful soles every introduced to man: a Renaissance-reminiscent portrait of mother and child, overlaid with the Asics logo in gold.
