April showers, rain all over me. The capital-F Fashion Gods have spoken, and the bucket hat is officially back. Forget ’90s nostalgia—my favorite headpiece just got an elevated upgrade. The Fall 2019 runways have been decked with the Irish classic—from buttery black leather at Christian Dior to patchwork denim at United Colors of Benetton—meaning there’s a style for every day of the week, literally.
I’m a broken record, but when pieces I’ve stanned for decades come back into the fashion sphere, it’s an unsettling mix of validation that everyone will be wearing my style and frustration that everyone will be wearing my style. Dad jeans, ugly sneakers, gorpcore—I’ve paid my price in unsolicited commentary from lovers and friends who “just don’t get it.” And now you all can reap the benefits because it’s fashion sweetie, look it up. Below, my favorite looks of the season and where you can shop the styles now.
