Harry Styles Hangs Out With Chickens In Gucci’s New Campaign

WWD reports that Harry Styles is the newest addition to Alessandro Michele’s Gucci gang. The British singer and actor was tapped to be the face of Gucci’s Fall 2018 tailoring collection, and the whole thing is a love affair with all things British.

Photographed by Glen Luchford and with art direction by Christopher Simmonds, the images feature Styles in a fish-and-chip shop in northern London flanked by chickens and dogs. To top it all off, a woman is pushing a pram in the background. All the looks are connected by Gucci’s signature modern romanticism.

Styles wears a variety of tailored Gucci outfits, from a teal checked three-piece suit decorated with bees to a bird’s eye wool suit covered with New York Yankees patches. The collaboration was first teased on Instagram three months ago, following an exclusive tour partnership Styles had with the Italian fashion house during his 2017 tour. He also wore a blue floral suit from Gucci in his “Kiwi” music video in November.

Styles has a devil-may-care yet timeless sort of style, a look that’s evolved way past his One Direction beginning. The campaign will be released across all media this month. Before Styles, British actor Tom Hiddleston and Dapper Dan were the faces of the label’s cruise 2017 tailoring campaign and fall 2017 tailoring campaign, respectively. Considering Gucci’s recent additions have been Styles and actress Tippi Hedren, it can never be said that the label doesn’t know how to appeal to a wide swath of audiences.
