The rapper attended the LACMA Art+Cinema GALA on Saturday wearing banger head-to-toe Gucci look which he paired with a headscarf.
Following post-Soviet trends which were widespread in Balenciaga by Demna Gvasalia and stylist Lotta Volkova, the headscarf was recently part of Gucci’s 2019 Resort styling. A$AP had no hesitation in adopting the “babushka” (“granny” in Russian) look.
During his brief red carpet interview he sounded more like a radio show host:
“I just wanted to show off my “babushka” today. It’s so immaculate…And I think I look so handsome right now with these shades.”
He also encouraged all guys out there to wear their “babushkas”:
“Silk gang, silk city, you know how we do it, Gucci”.
