Stacey Bendet isn’t just one of New York’s kitchiest designers. Bendet, the CEO and creative director of Alice + Olivia, is in the business of wearable art, too. Alice + Olivia celebrated the launch of a new Keith Haring collection last night at the Highline Stages.
“Art is for everyone,” was the theme of the night, and was written graffiti-style across the walls. Flanked on either side of a Haring-tagged half-pipe, a group of well-known names like Paris Jackson, Nicky Hilton Rothschild, and Huma Abedin came together with under-the-radar influencers like Richie Shazam and “Skate Kitchen” actor Brenn Lorenzo while The Dolls performed a set in the background.

The clothing itself is appropriately Haring-themed. Each of the pieces in the ready-to-wear collection features details of the artist’s work, characterized by bright, colorful shapes.
“I have always been a fan of Keith Haring’s work—the colors and graphics,” Bendet tells WWD. “He was also one of the first artists to advance social causes, and I think at this time in our world, it’s especially important to support artists who have made a difference.”
The collection is now available at Alice + Olivia.
