Beyoncé Wore a $140k Work of Art for “Apeshit” Music Video

She’s truly a work of art. On Saturday, Beyoncé and husband Jay-Z dropped their “Everything Is Love” album along with the music video for the new song “Apeshit”. The Louvre was the backdrop for the music video, and a few famous works (including the Mona Lisa) made cameos as well.

As Page Six notes, Bey makes a few memorable turns in the video alongside the “The Winged Victory of Samothrace”. The marble statue is modeled after Nike, the goddess of victory.

For her winning part, Bey channeled the sculpture in bridal couture. Her ethereal gown was designed by none other than Stephane Rolland, a famous Parisian haute couture designer.

The dress was certainly a work of art itself, coming in around €120,000, which is roughly $140,000 USD. She chose to accessorize the gown with a ruffled cape by another haute couture designer, Alexis Mabille.

Other notable outfits from the video included a pink suit by London label Peter Pilotto. Designers Pilotto and Christopher de Vos are known for using playful prints and making artfully constructed pieces.

Beyoncé and Jay-Z also just leaked NSFW photos in a photo book during their “On The Run” tour.
