Hailing from the last frontier, Alaskan born Gia Seo moved to NYC several years ago and has stayed local, advancing in her career as a stylist, buyer at the Webster, art director, and model. We caught up with Gia to hear all her secrets to finding the best vintage shops around the city, and staying true to her heritage by supporting small Korean designers.

GS: “Brooklyn.”
Where are your favorite places to shop?
GS: “ADO in Williamsburg is a new Korean owned shop that just opened that represents a lot of small Korean designers! I also love About Glamour for great vintage pieces (CDG, Vivienne Westwood, etc), The Frankie Shop for chic-unique, standout items, Buffalo Exchange in the West Village (gold mine for luxury), and all costume trinket stores in Union Square or the Garment District.”
What brands are you loving right now?
GS: “Dries Van Noten, Fleamadonna, Tara (an insanely different way to see jewelry), Reike Nen, and vintage Courreges.”
What are your go-to outfit essentials?
GS: “A comfortable, statement jacket that is always ‘feel good.’ A solid pair of sunglasses, mine are usually from Retro Super Future. A fun pair of socks (mostly for you to keep your mood happy during the day). A go-to lip color. A classic sneaker, or a not-so classic sneaker; either way, polish off with a sneaker.
