H&M And Eytys Are Launching A Genderless Fashion Capsule

The fashion in 2019 is already looking more gender neutral, if the new H&M x Eytys collaboration is any indication. The two Swedish brands are coming together to create a line of genderless wardrobe staples and, of course, sneakers for adults and kids.

“Unisex design is in our DNA, we do it without thinking,” Max Schiller, co-founder of Eytys said in an interview with H&M’s in-house magazine. “And the reaction is almost always positive. To us, the difference between the male body and the female body has never been an issue. Our clothes have a completely different silhouette anyway.”

Schiller gave some insight into Eytys’ design ethos, saying, “I like it when function unites with interesting silhouettes. I’m a fan of focusing on classic products and then creating something warped in the design.” Standout pieces from the collection include a shiny patent jacket, a snake-print hoodie, and lots of sneakers riffing on classic 80’s and 90’s trends.

So, what’s the difference between your regular Eytys clothes and this collaboration? For one, more accessibility. “Eytys has typically not been for everyone and we have never aimed to be a crowd pleaser, but it feels great to work together with H&M to let more people discover our brand and what we stand for.”
