It’s not fashion week unless we get some covetable looks from street style star and influencer Olivia Palermo. What I love so much about her style is that is always has a hint of something unexpected–even if she’s wearing something very romantic and feminine, she’ll add a dark lip color or an undone hairstyle so that she looks polished but not too put together.
While she has been changing practically every hour for every show during NYFW, the outfit she wore to the Tibi show blew me away even though it was so simple. Whenever you think of suiting in styling purposes, you always want to play down the matchy-matchyness of a patterned suit so that it won’t look like you’re going into a stuffy business meeting. But Palermo’s classic windowpane suit pants, contrasted with a long houndstooth coat, and a zip up polo sweater in purple is a genius way to use pieces you already have and make them feel fresh again.
