It’s been just one year since Kaia Gerber made her runway debut, and she’s already releasing a collection with Chanel. The 16-year-old model will release her capsule collection with Karl Lagerfeld on August 30, and it’s filled with chic and casual ready-to-wear pieces.
Gerber is the daughter of supermodel Cindy Crawford, and she’s walked for brands like Marc Jacobs, Alexander Wang, and Fendi. She also opened the Chanel SS18 ready-to-wear show, and the model has become a favorite of Lagerfeld’s. The collection blends Gerber’s LA vibe with Lagerfeld’s classic Parisian aesthetic, and it’s a mostly monochromatic collection.
Lagerfeld announced the collection on his Instagram account with the hashtag “#KARLXKAIA” and it will be available on Karl.com for two weeks before debuting on other shopping sites.
The collection will feature versatile, closet-essential pieces mixed with trendier items. Logo-printed leather jackets, wetsuit-inspired bodysuits, logo hoodies, velvet bags, chained hats, and over-the-knee socks comprise some of the capsule. The 68-piece collection is Instagram-ready with its all-black athleisure vibe, and it will be priced in the range of $80 to $400. See images from the collection here.
