“It is a dream come true to join the Estée Lauder family,” Kloss said in a statement. “I am so inspired by the brand’s legacy and values—from the entrepreneurial spirit of Estée herself to the company’s unparalleled commitment to creating best in class products for women around the world. I could not be more proud and honored to be part of such an iconic brand.”
Kloss’s first campaign, featuring iconic products like Pure Color Envy Sculpting Lipstick, Double Wear Stay-in-Place Makeup, and Revitalizing Supreme+ Global Anti-Aging Cell Power Creme will drop in July across social media, TV, print and in-store materials. The supermodel will also be creating original digital content via her production company Klossy Productions. She has been a major advocate for more girls in coding, starting her Kode With Klossy organization in 2015 after she herself started learning to code. Now, there are camps around the country that offer lessons and team building. Just yesterday, Kloss dropped a funny new video where she dresses up as various cheesy doppelgangers, from ‘70s car salesman to mullet-wearing trucker.
Kloss and Estée Lauder both hinted at the new partnership via Instagram, with the supermodel posting, “First day at a new job tomorrow…” and Lauder announcing via Instagram Story that it would reveal its new global ambassador today.
In an interview with the brand, Kloss talked about scoring her dream gig. “My entire career, having a beauty contract has been at the top of my bucket list,” she said. “When I was on an airplane commuting between my life as a high school student in St. Louis and my parallel life as a fashion model in NYC, I would journal about my dreams. I have to find that journal that says, ‘Bucket List: Estée Lauder beauty contract.’ It’s surreal, and I’m really grateful and excited. I’m so honored to be a part of a brand with such a rich legacy. Estée Lauder is the creme de la creme!”
