Kim Kardashian West’s Lingerie Line Has a Japanese-Inspired Theme

Kim Kardashian West is launching a new lingerie line, and it appears to be Japanese-inspired. TMZ reports that the company Kim is working with has filed to trademark “Kimono Intimates,” which will brand her line with the name and put it on bustiers, nightgowns, pasties, breast shapers, leotards, socks, and more.

So far, there’s been radio silence from the company, but we’ll likely hear something soon. Kim Kardashian West, along with Kourtney and Khloe, visited Japan back in February, which TMZ speculates was to get inspiration for her new line. A kimono is, of course, a wide-sleeved, loose robe tied with a sash, worn as a formal garment in Japan.

In other KKW news, the reality star was reportedly surprised by her husband Kanye West’s controversial comments on slavery when he appeared on TMZ last week.

“Kim was really upset that Kanye chose to have a very serious discussion in a place like that,” an unnamed source told Us Weekly, “and because she wasn’t given a heads up about it beforehand…Kanye shared a lot of his passionate words, which was important to him but had they been said in a different setting and time, they would have come across in a different way. A lot of things he said were very serious. If he had said them in different, more planned out way it would be a different story, even positive. Kim is trying to be a supportive wife… but it is hard.”

On Friday, Kris Jenner appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show and, in true crisis momager mode, talked about Khloé Kardashian and Tristan Thompson’s cheating scandal, Kanye West’s recent questionable-opinion spree, and more. Jenner stayed neutral in her response to DeGeneres’ pointed questions about West’s behavior.

“I think that anything he does—and I just think this is important to say is—he always does things with really good intentions,” she said. “So, I’m going to let him explain himself when the time is ready.”
