Kirsten Dunst Designed a Sweater for Planned Parenthood

Kirsten Dunst has partnered with Sonia Rykiel to design a sweater for Planned Parenthood as part of the label’s Generous Sweaters campaign.

The campaign is to celebrate Sonia Rykiel’s 50thanniversary, and other influential women are joining the project, including actresses Kristin Scott Thomas and Sofia Boutella, artist Langley Fox, architect Kazuyo Sejima, and Korean National Ballet artistic director Sue-Jin Kang.

Each woman was able to choose the charity that proceeds from sales will be donated to. Aside from Dunst’s choice of Planned Parenthood, other charities involved include La Maison des Femmes, Ving, Hope & Home for Children, Le Refuge, Lemlem Foundation, Okaeri-Gohan Shokun and the Children’s Hospital of Seoul National University.

“These extraordinary women have been much involved in the creative process, each talent has given her precious time to this charity-driven sweater capsule,” Sonia Rykiel creative director Julie de Libran told WWD. “I’m thankful they jumped into this initiative, focusing on charities helping women around the globe. It means a lot in 2018.”

The sweaters reflect the spirit of the women who designed them, from Fox’s rainbow sweater to Dunst’s romantic red floral sweater.

They will be available at 10 Corso Como NY in South Seaport until October 24 and in Sonia Rykiel stores on November 5. See the full collection over on WWD.
