Boots in the summer? I know it’s kind of weird. But that’s the thing about fashion–just when you think you’ve got all the trends figured out, someone puts a look together and you’re wowed all over again wondering if you can pull the look off yourself.
And that’s what happened when I saw Taylor Swift and Ariana Grande this week in knee high boots. While it’s been mostly hot out, it is admittedly colder indoors because of the air conditioning. So when I saw Taylor pairing her suede boots with a flowy, almost sheer shirtdress, and Ariana’s with a barely there crop top and mini skirt, the combinations makes sense.
Swift’s ‘70s vibes is her aesthetic since she loves florals, the oversized sunglasses, and it has a bit of a country vibe. She’s wearing classic Jimmy Choo knee-high boots that give the outfit a bit of a bohemian note but it works. And as for Ariana, she wears knee-high boots on and off the stage all the time—she literally cannot get enough of them! I’m guessing it’s because they have such an elongating effect on her petite frame, but they’ve become her sartorial signature, wearing these nude Yeezy stocking boots that we would think are strictly for fall but both of their looks have us considering otherwise.
