Just weeks after Demi Lovato’s horrific overdose, musician Mac Miller has died from an apparent overdose. The 26-year-old rapper, born Malcolm James McCormick was reportedly found at noon on Friday, September 7 at his home in San Fernando Valley after a 911 call.
Miller had been having trouble with substance abuse following his break-up with Ariana Grande this past May. Immediately following the break up, just around the time Grande got engaged to Pete Davidson, Miller was arrested for driving under the influence and crashing into a utility pole. He had fled the scene of the crime before arrest, and when authorities found him, Miller’s blood content was twice over the legal limit. Grande had tweeted at him, “Pls take care of yourself.”
Miller’s most recent album launched last month and he was scheduled to begin a tour next month.
